CELTT provides comprehensive support for faculty preparing to deliver courses via distance learning technologies. Faculty are given support in groups as well as in one-on-one mentoring situations. A high level of support via one-on-one mentoring is essential for effective delivery of instruction in a challenging and unfamiliar environment.

CELTT staff will work with the faculty to: review, modify, anddevelop course content; create a website for each course; and deliver the course via cable programming. Course websites provide a review of content delivered via television, to provide complementary content information, and for evaluation purposes. Eleven other faculty members are mentored in preparation for hybrid or wholly online courses.

One-on-one mentoring is also a vehicle for development of peer mentors. Faculty presently being mentored for cable television will assist others who plan to teach via television. Frank Leake of the FSHE program will mentor other FSHE faculty putting content online. A list of those receiving support from IMD is listed below:
